  • identify special education needs
  • support special education students, their teachers and their families
  • identify and refer to community resources to address needs of the entire school population

School social workers serve all 18 buildings within the Midland Public Schools district plus any nonpublic school requesting services. They are provided space within these buildings for consultations with students and teachers. Midland Public Schools employs four school social workers.
